Time, Our Old Bed-fellow

James Hannham points out how out-of-step Weil’s dramaturgical interests are with the fashion of her day – the modern impulses of Camus, Sartre, etc. – but it does raise the notion of how all of us, in the pitiless future, will be subject to the same scrutiny, the verdict of awkward, even willful, mis-aprehension all the more brutal for being absolutely true.
